Certified Sites Submitted
UPDATE: After submitting both of the certified sites on November 1st, McCallum Sweeney Consulting has reviewed the materials and has requested more information for some piece of the submission. The Alliance staff and our partners are working diligently to provide this information to McCallum Sweeney so that we may move forward with the certified sites process. We hope to have both of these sites reach full certification early next year.
The deadline to turn in step three of the certified sites process was November 1st. The Alliance was able to turn in the submissions for both Van Meter and Dexter a day ahead of schedule, with the help of many of our partners. Step three included over 50 attachments for each site, and is the final step in the certified sites process. The next step is a review of both sites by McCallum Sweeney and the IEDA. This could take a couple months depending on the site. We hope to know final certification status by January.
Certifying sites is a great new marketing tool that can be used to attract site selection consultants and prove that a site is ready to go. By being shovel ready, a site can be more appealing to site selectors because it saves them time and resources, which can give Dallas County an advantage over our competition.
