GRANGER, Iowa -- The City of Granger and the Granger Economic Development Assocations are pleased to unveil a new city logo and tagline -- "Believe It."  Created by branding and design firm Mauck-Groves, the new tagline and logo was inspired by a survey of resdients and employees of Granger businesses.  Distributed this summer, the survey generated a greate response gathering the perceptions and feelings about the community by those who live and work in Granger.  

The Granger Economic Development Association worked closely with Mauck-Groves in the development of the new marketing effort for the community.  A 'Spotted Zebra' retreat was held to brainstorm ideas, including ideas influenced from the community survey results.  Several designs were proposed, and ultimately the logo and tagline "Believe It" was selected based on the goals that were defined in the Spotted Zebra retreat which used the community's input.

The Granger City Council was presented the logo and tagline October 8, 2008.  Mayor Tom Schenk commented, "This new identity for the City of Granger is a bold, fresh new step for bringing additional businesses to our fine community, allowing the residents to enjoy more conveniences which is a desire expressed by many recently."  The logo and tagline will be implemented into city materials such as stationary, website, marketing brochures, and vehicle and city signage.
