Mid Iowa SBDC Announces New Advisory Board Members |
URBANDALE, Iowa -- The Mid Iowa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has appointed ten new members to its Regional Advisory Board. The advisory board represents all five counties of the center's regional territory and many of the partners and associations that represent Iowa's businesses and industries.
New board members include: Linda Chape, Vice President of Development , Vermeer Coproation, Newton; Susan Chapman, Owner, Taylor-USA, Des Moines; Tiffany Coleman, Executive Director, Warren County Economic Development Corporation, Indianola; The Honorable Mark Davitt, State Representative, Indianola; Clyde Evans, Director of Community Development, City of West Des Moines; Ben Hildebrandt, Vice President of Marketing, Public Affairs and Member Services, Iowa Bankers Association, Johnston; Jack Maples, Des Moines Assistant District Director, S.C.O.R.E, Des Moines; Linda Schaut, Executive Director, Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, Adel; Terry Vorbrich, Executive Director, Corporation for Economic Development in Des Moines, Des Moines; The Honorable Brad Zaun, State Senator, Urbandale. These ten new members join continuing board member Jim Wieder, Chairman, Wieder Associates P.C., Des Moines.
All eleven board members will provide insight and perspective to this business assistance organization.
The Mid Iowa SBDC is one of 15 regional business assistance centers of the Iowa Small Business Development Center, an outreach unit of Iowa State University's College of Business. The center is funded by the U.S. Small Businesss Adminstration and the State of Iowa.
